Sourcelab was contracted to build a multimedia museum tour designed to run on the Nokia N800. The mobile tour combines an efficient interface architecture with a rich collection of content that is designed to be non-intrusive and flexible for the user, ultimately creating a tour that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the exhibit.

The handheld PDA tour is an interpretive aid for a large-scale permanent installation at a major US art museum. We built the application around existing audio, created the interface, information architecture and Flash programming. It incorporates audio, video, photos and animations to deliver both led and interactive experiences.
The project is unique because it's one of the first hand-held museum tours to harness the potential of a new generation of robust portable media devices such as the N800 and Iphone. As such, it required a high degree of collaboration between Sourcelab, the audio tour company and the museum.
