The image galleries contain special shots such as sliding panoramas or matched day-and-night pictures and simple animated transitions between images. Users can discover contextual information on particular buildings or places by rolling over hot-spots. Each hot-spot activates a narrated piece of the story, with both excerpts from the book and original text.
The Celluloid Skyline website is a multimedia exploration of cities, film, and architecture that is based on the award-winning book by the architect James Sanders.
